2025年10月4日(土)より京都の日本酒サロン 粋 -sui- にて、金子明日香の個展（後期）を開催いたします。
本展は、2024年に京都へ拠点を移し初めての京都での個展となり、前期から作品を入れ替え、小作品を中心に展示いたします。

建築家たちのスケッチやドローイングの線は大抵はどこか心許なく、なにかを探っている迷いと不安定さを感じます。
プロセス段階で生まれるその多くは、人や場所、時間、あらゆる巡り合わせによって生まれ、たとえ空想の世界であったとしても確かにその場所と時間を含み表出させているように思います。そうしてその蓄積によって、巡り合う風景があるのだと思います。
建築家・谷口吉郎の言葉を思い出します。
ーー 建築は沈黙にもかかわらず、その「形」は表情を持ち、作者の心を伝える。小さい家であろうが、工場であろうが、或いは一個の墓標にしても、すべての「形ある物」は、それを築いた意匠心を示す。だから、建築の造形は、人間のこの世における「願い」や「祈り」の表現でもある。

「形」を成す手前に多くの揺らぎを持った線があり、その手前に作者が巡り合った存在と想いがあります。人や物、場所、何であれ、その存在をできる限り見過ごさぬよう、絵を描き続けていきたいです。

The second half of Asuka Kaneko's solo exhibition will be held at Kyoto's Japanese Sake Salon “sui” from October 4, 2025.
This exhibition marks her first solo show in Kyoto since relocating her base there in 2024.It will feature a rotation of works from the first half, focusing primarily on smaller pieces.

The lines in architects' sketches and drawings often feel somewhat uncertain to me, conveying a sense of searching, hesitation, and instability.
Many of these, born during the process stage, seem to emerge from people, places, time, and all manner of circumstances. Even if they exist in a world of imagination, they undeniably contain and express that specific place and time.
Through this accumulation, certain landscapes come into being.
I recall the words of architect Yoshiro Taniguchi:
—— Despite architecture's silence, its “form” possesses expression and conveys the creator's heart. Whether a small house, a factory, or even a single gravestone, all “things with form” reveal the design intent that built them. Thus, architectural form is also an expression of human ‘wishes’ and “prayers” in this world.

Before a “form” takes shape, there are lines filled with many fluctuations, and before those lines, there are the beings and thoughts the creator has encountered.
People, things, places—whatever they may be—I want to keep painting so as not to overlook their existence as much as possible.
